As part of the Cow Face skin care range, our mineral based sunscreen balm contains 20% non nano zinc oxide to provide non toxic mineral barrier to harmful UVB rays. Whipped with Pembrokeshire grass fed beef tallow, organic castor oil (Hexane free), organic coconut oil and pure Vanilla essential oil (Vanilla Planifolia) this divine smelling sunscreen will be the perfect match for sun lovers who love their skin.

The SPF 25+ rating is based on the balm containing 20% non nano zinc oxide (20-25) and the natural SPF of tallow (4), coconut oil (4) and castor oil (6).

As non nano zinc oxide is a mineral based sunscreen, it is not able to penetrate the skin. It provides protection from harmful UVB rays by creating a protective topical layer on the skin. Therefore, on darker skin tones it may leave a white haze until the oils have been massaged into the skin.

We recommend re applying the balm every two hours. The balm will be effective for up to 20 minutes swimming.
